An Uphill Journey to My 3rd School Assignment

Going to Yubo Elementary School as my 3rd school assignment is a challenge of my managerial expertise as a school principal. This school is the biggest school I ever supervised with 18 teachers and more than 500 pupils in enrollment.

The only consolation which a principal like me to feel confident about to take over another school for a reshuffling or reassignment of the head assigned is the familiarity of the members of the teaching force.

In a small division of La Carlota City, every teacher including the school administrators and the education supervisors are well acquainted with each other. The annual division activities for the teachers every December and summer In-service training. Constant contact and communication makes every teacher know each other.

The transportation in going to the school is scarce. There is one two public vehicles that plies every day and we have to catch up with their schedule to avoid being late in school. In case, we couldn't make it. We have to hire a motorized tricycle which charged as too high for the fare.

Parents are supportive of their children. They send their children to school even there is an inclement weather. Children come to school early. Some of them have to go down from steep hill like Batakon (highly elevated). Kids are skillful to go down and climb the place even though it is slippery. So far no reported accident has been reported.

I never take any chances. I always remind the parents not to let their children to go school when the weather is bad. Their kids won't be missing any lesson for we give them a make up assignment to cope with the lesson missed.

The place is cool for it is surrounded by big, tall trees.

I have to take a refreshing look to my 3rd school through this slide video I created. It would indeed the momentous moments to be with this school for three solid years.
